Repair Cavities With Tooth Fillings

Have you ever ignored a toothache? Without proper oral hygiene and a fast response when decay begins to set in, dental problems can quickly go from minor to serious. If decay has become a problem for your smile, don’t give up hope. We can remove the bad bacteria and preserve and protect your natural teeth.

At some point or another, most patients have to deal with a cavity. When bacteria is left unchecked on tooth surfaces, it chips away at the hard surface of our teeth with acids and can eventually form a hole, or cavity, in the enamel.

If this occurs, we will clear out the problem and repair the damage with a tooth filling. So no one will be the wiser, our dental office uses either composite or glass ionomer tooth-colored fillings – your smile-restoring treatment can be your little secret! If you need a tooth filling, we will:

Numb the area for optimum comfort

Remove all traces of decay

Carefully fill the cavity to lock out bacteria

Other Options To Repair Damaged Teeth

Unfortunately, cavities can grow to the point that a tooth filling will not be enough. Our highly skilled dentists can still help with other restorative dentistry options though! If a cavity simply becomes too large for a tooth filling, we can repair your tooth with partial dental crowns, called inlays and onlays.

Even if the decay penetrates your enamel and infects the soft tissue and nerves (pulp) inside your tooth, we can preserve your tooth structure with a gentle root canal treatment. In contrast to the urban myths popularized by movies and television, root canals are no more painful than a tooth filling. We will:

Numb the area

Remove the infected pulp using special tools

Fill your tooth with an inert material called gutta-percha

For added protection following a root canal – or even just to protect a tooth damaged by some other cause – we may also recommend capping your tooth with a dental crown. Thanks to our state-of-the-art E4D PlanScan milling system, we can custom make your dental crown during a single visit in just two hours! You can even watch a movie and relax while you wait!

Tooth Replacement Options For Your Missing Teeth

Whether you need to replace a single tooth or you’re in need of a whole new set of pearly whites, we can restore your smile and your confidence with tooth replacement options!

When it comes to replacing your teeth, one of the most natural feeling and looking options are dental implants. Because they literally fuse with your jawbone, dental implants provide a strong foundation for a variety of restorations, including:

Dental Crowns

Dental bridges

Full-mouth reconstruction options like All-on-4® implant restorations

And because they replace your natural tooth roots, dental implants also prevent bone and tissue loss in your face, helping you maintain your youthful look!

To be a suitable candidate for dental implants, you will need a strong, thick jawbone. If your jawbone is not dense enough, however, we may still be able to help. A bone graft can help supplement your natural jawbone to provide a sturdy anchor for dental implants. Or, you could be a good candidate for mini dental implants!

There’s also the possibility you do not want to have dental implants placed for whatever reason. We can still replace one or multiple adjacent missing teeth with a traditional dental bridge held in place by your neighboring teeth.
