Oral Surgery Boise, ID: Restoring Your Dental Health

At Times Square Dental, we understand that oral health issues can significantly impact your quality of life. Our experienced dentists specialize in oral surgery procedures and strive to deliver the best care possible to our patients in Boise, ID. We utilize the latest techniques and advancements in dentistry to provide effective solutions tailored to your specific needs.

  1. Wisdom Teeth Removal: Wisdom teeth can create some unique issues, which is why we can identify and get rid of them for you when necessary. One of the most common reasons for oral surgery is the extraction of impacted wisdom teeth. Our experienced dentists in Boise can evaluate and determine if your wisdom teeth need to be removed to prevent any future complications. At Times Square Dental, we understand that the thought of having your wisdom teeth removed can be a bit nerve-wracking. But rest assured, our compassionate team is experienced in handling wisdom teeth extractions, and we'll make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way.
  2. Dental Implants: For patients missing teeth, dental implants are an excellent solution to restore both function and aesthetics. Through oral surgery, titanium posts can be securely implanted into your jawbone, allowing for a stable foundation for your new teeth. Dental implants also make dentures, bridges, or crowns look, feel, and function like real teeth.
Implants take the place of the roots of your lost teeth. That creates a direct connection between your replacement teeth and your jaw. It’s also why someone with implant-supported dentures can bite and chew practically as well as someone with a full set of healthy teeth. You can eat a variety of foods, which means meals are more nutritious and enjoyable, too. Plus, you won’t need any adhesives when you have implants to hold your dentures in position. In many cases, you’ll brush and floss like normal.
  3. Bone Grafts and Ridge Augmentation: If you have experienced bone loss due to periodontal disease, trauma, or other factors, our oral surgery procedures can help rebuild the damaged bone structure. Bone grafts and ridge augmentations involve adding tissue to areas lacking sufficient bone density, providing strength and stability for other dental treatments such as dental implants or dentures. If you are missing bone or have lost bone tissue, we can build up your jaw by adding tissue where it’s needed.
  4. Teeth Extractions: Sometimes removing a tooth (and replacing it) is the best way to prevent a problem from getting worse. When a tooth is severely damaged, decayed, or causing oral health complications, extraction may be necessary. Our experienced dentists in Boise can perform tooth extractions with great precision and minimal discomfort. We also offer tooth replacement options, such as dental implants or bridges, to restore your smile's functionality and aesthetics.

We do quite a bit of oral surgery in our practice that usually involves removing sick, broken down teeth. Some teeth have gotten to the point where they can't be restored, and so we only have one option in that situation. Take those teeth out. That can be a scary situation, too, there again, and we try to make the person comfortable and make it as easy on them as we can in there. Those times come up. That's one area of dentistry that's kind of the same now as it used to be, same techniques and treatments that we've always done.

Yeah. We try to provide a pretty large array of different treatments to people. Most treatments we can do. Carson and I have been doing it long enough that we feel comfortable doing most different types of services for people. If we have a challenging case, something we think is going to be difficult and challenging for us, or we think that the person would be more comfortable in a different setting, say with a specialist, we're pretty good about identifying those people and discussing that with people and giving them that option of being referred if it's going to be a challenging or difficult case.
